Company profile
An independent commodity house, built for physical delivery.
Established in 2021 and headquartered in Business Bay, Dubai, with group companies across nine jurisdictions on four continents.
What we do
We manage supply chains that move physical cargo.
Our business is taking a commodity from where it is produced or stored and delivering it, safely and on specification, to where it is needed — in energy, metals, agricultural products, fertilisers, chemicals and industrial materials.
Between those two points sits everything that actually determines whether a trade works: sourcing at a credible origin, clearing compliance, agreeing a specification both sides can live with, arranging inspection, structuring the finance, fixing the freight, and producing documentation a bank, a customs authority and a receiving terminal will all accept.
We are not a broker passing on an offer. We take positions, we carry operational risk, and we are accountable for what arrives.
Our approach
How a NJORD trade runs.
Six steps, in this order. Price is the last conversation, not the first — because a price agreed before the specification and the compliance position is a number neither side can rely on.
Requirement & specification
Product, grade, quantity, delivery basis, timing and destination specification. We establish what the receiving plant, terminal or mill will actually accept — which is often not what the enquiry asked for.
Sourcing & compliance
Origin identified and screened. Sanctions, KYC and end-use checks completed on both sides before any firm indication is given.
Commercial terms
Pricing basis, quality determination point, tolerance, laytime, payment security and penalty schedule — agreed in writing rather than left to custom.
Finance & instruments
Letters of credit, standby instruments and structured facilities arranged through a banking syndicate that understands physical commodity risk.
Inspection & freight
Independent surveyor appointed, sampling protocol agreed, tonnage fixed against our own contracted capacity, stowage and heating requirements confirmed.
Delivery & documentation
Cargo delivered with CoQ, CoA, SDS, bills of lading, certificates of origin and — where applicable — Proof of Sustainability with mass balance.
Supply
Depth at production level, not through intermediaries.
Our supply comes from direct relationships with producers and principals across the divisions we trade. We do not publish who they are.
Counterparty identity is commercially sensitive in both directions. A producer's offtake arrangements are their business, and a buyer who can see our supply chain on a website can go around it. So the names stay off the page.
What we will do is evidence the chain where a trade requires it — origin, producing facility, refiner accreditation and chain of custody are disclosed to an identified counterparty under the relevant confidentiality terms, at the point the trade needs them rather than before.
Standards
The frameworks our cargo is measured against.
We do not invent our own specifications. Every product is quoted against a recognised standard, so both sides know exactly what is being bought and what a rejection would rest on.

Every enquiry is answered by a trader.
Send the product, quantity, delivery basis, destination and timing. We revert with availability, an indication and the documentation that accompanies it. Specifications are released once we know who we are speaking with.
