Oil & Petroleum
The full barrel — West African export crude and stabilised condensate, the refined slate including certified co-processed streams, ISO 8217 bunkers, and the residual feedstocks that most traders will not touch.
Crude oil & gas condensate
West African export grades — light sweet to medium, prized for high middle-distillate yield at low sulfur, and laboratory-certified at the loading refinery. Other crude origins are available subject to availability and compliance clearance.
On the condensate side we supply stabilised C5+ from Atlantic, and Middle East origins. Splitters buy on naphtha yield, so every parcel is quoted with a full assay rather than a headline gravity.

- Crude — standard stems of approximately 950,000 bbl (Suezmax). Condensate — 200,000 to 650,000 bbl, MR through LR2.
- Pricing basis
- Crude priced against Dated Brent, marketed against monthly loading programmes. Condensate against Platts Dubai or Dated Brent on naphtha netbacks.
- Documentation
- Full producer laboratory certificate per cargo. Independent inspection at load and discharge coordinated as standard.
- Assay parameters
- API gravity, density, sulfur, TAN, H₂S and mercaptans, copper corrosion, water and sediments — reported per cargo against ASTM and UOP methods.
Refined products
The clean and black barrel across European, GCC, Asian and West African specifications. We quote to the standard the receiving market actually enforces, not to a generic export grade — an EN 590 winter parcel for Poland and a 500 ppm gasoil for a West African genset market are different trades and we treat them that way.
Certified co-processed gasoline, diesel and Jet A-1 are supplied as separate KZR INiG / RED components, pool-compatible with the conventional specification and documented for compliance reporting.
- Gasoline & naphtha
- RON 91, 92, 95, 97 and 98 to EN 228 and regional specifications. Naphtha — light virgin, full-range, heavy virgin, open-spec and gasoline-blending grades. Blend components — reformate, alkylate, MTBE.
- Gasoil & diesel
- ULSD 10 ppm to EN 590 in summer, winter and arctic CFPP classes; 50 ppm; 500 to 5,000 ppm to destination spec; EN 15940 paraffinic.
- Aviation fuel & kerosene
- Jet A-1 to ASTM D1655 and DEF STAN 91-091 against the AFQRJOS checklist; Jet A; dual purpose and illuminating kerosene.
- Naphtha
- Light virgin, full-range, heavy virgin, open-spec and gasoline-blending grades. Crackers buy on paraffinicity, reformers on N+A.
- Bitumen
- Penetration grades, viscosity grades, polymer modified, performance grades, crumb rubber modified, cutbacks and emulsions.
Base oils & additives
The lubricant feedstock slate across the API groups — solvent-refined Group I, hydrotreated Group II, severely hydrocracked Group III — plus certified re-refined equivalents, naphthenic grades and technical white oils. Blenders buy on viscosity index, volatility and additive response, not on a trade name, so every parcel is offered against a producer or independent-laboratory Certificate of Analysis rather than a typicals sheet.
This is one of our deepest technical desks, and the discipline shows before the trade: API 1509 defines a base-oil group on three parameters — saturates, sulphur and viscosity index — and all three must be guaranteed simultaneously. A datasheet that omits any of them has not established its group, whatever the heading says. We test that claim so our buyers never have to.

- Group I — solvent refined
- SN 150, SN 500 and Bright Stock. The workhorse grades of GCC, African and Turkish blending — high natural solvency and additive response, the base of monograde, marine and industrial lubricants.
- Group II — hydrotreated
- N 100 to N 600. Low sulphur, high saturates — the mainstream feedstock for current passenger-car and heavy-duty engine oil formulations.
- Group III — hydrocracked
- 4, 6 and 8 cSt cuts with viscosity index of 120 or above guaranteed, not implied. Catalytic dewaxing is what separates a genuine Group III from a look-alike — commercial grades pour at −15 °C and below, and we treat pour point as the giveaway parameter it is.
- White & naphthenic oils
- Technical and pharmaceutical white oils specified against USP / Ph. Eur. and FDA 21 CFR 178.3620, where UV absorbance and aromatics — not API group — are the controlling tests. Naphthenic process oils on request.
- Additives
- Performance additive packages — DI packages, viscosity modifiers, pour point depressants — supplied alongside base stocks, on request.
- Alkylate blend components
- Heavy alkylbenzene for lubricant, grease and transformer-oil formulation is traded on the chemicals desk — see Detergent alkylates & normal paraffins.
- Parcel formats
- Flexitanks, ISO tank containers, new steel drums, IBCs and bulk tanker parcels, FOB, CIF or CFR. Certificate of Quality per consignment.
Marine fuels & bunkers
The full ISO 8217 slate, residual and distillate, delivered ex-pipe, by barge or by truck. Bunker stems are quoted per metric tonne against the zone the vessel is actually trading — ECA, EU port or open water — rather than a single global grade.
Sampling is MARPOL Annex VI compliant and every stem carries a Bunker Delivery Note alongside its Certificate of Quality. Cat fines and stability are reported, not assumed.

- Specification basis
- ISO 8217 RMG 380, RME 180, RMD 80, DMA, DMZ and DMB, to the sulfur limit applicable in the delivery zone.
- Delivery
- Alongside by barge or truck, or ex-terminal. Stem sizes agreed against vessel schedule and tank capacity.
- Documentation
- Bunker Delivery Note plus CoQ per ISO 8217 — viscosity, density, sulfur, flash point, water, cat fines and stability. Retained samples held per MARPOL.
Feedstocks & residuals
The end of the barrel is where a commodity house is made or found out. Vacuum gasoil, light cycle oil, straight-run gasoil, petroleum coke and carbon black feedstock all require heated handling, specialised tonnage and a buyer who knows exactly what they are taking — which is why fewer counterparties compete here.
CBFS is our deepest technical position. Carbon black producers buy on BMCI because it drives yield, and we source multi-origin against refinery-specific historical assay data released to qualified buyers.

- Bulk vessels, Handysize to Supramax, 30,000 to 55,000 Mt. Calcined coke additionally in containers and big bags.
- Petcoke buyers
- Cement kilns, power generation, lime and brick for fuel grade; calciners and the aluminium anode chain for green and calcined coke. Sodium and calcium content is the constraint that decides cement-kiln compatibility.
- CBFS supply
- Heated tanker parcels or ISO tank containers, multi-origin. FCC decant and clarified oil as the primary stream; ethylene tar and coal-tar alternatives on request.
- CBFS quality
- Independent SGS Certificate of Analysis governs each consignment. Refinery-specific historical assay tables released to qualified buyers under the Technical Library.
